A little background: This last winter/spring we shot a short presently called Cold Snap. We're in the long process of post-production. Long because, though we know what we want it to be, we're hard-knockers, and have to teach ourselves how to get it done.
My present responsibilities include coming up with animations for a fake newscast. Full disclosure: I don't know how to do this. I've got some tools at my disposal, but I'm not an animator, so this is going to take a while.
My previous task was to manipulate a shot of a license plate so that it reads "TODSTER." I was able to do this, though I'm a little dissatisfied with it. It has an obvious artificiality to it, the fake embossed letters look fake, and I wonder if it wouldn't have been simpler to have paid for a set of license plates that actually read as desired. I've included the shot for critique. If you're reading this and know anything about photoshop, please advise. I'm all for doing it myself, I'm just a little shy on what, exactly, is wrong with it. Much obliged

Unfortunately, I'm not much of a words smith at all, as you can see, but I wanted to tell you that what I saw, writing-wise, really impressed me. Not that it takes a lot to impress me, but hopefully that means something to you.
You're writing is so intensely depressed. It's a lonely type of writing. All the same, it is strangely beautiful. I thought you should know if I think that.
I guess now I'm laying myself out for ridicule. Hope you get a smile all the same.
You have a nice gallery.
